I just deleted my stupid facebook. I don't care about it. I care about dogs and trees and books and cupcakes more than I care about facebook.
The end.

Today my English professor compared Neitzsche's "concepts" to Facebook.
Facebook profile= a representation of many individual aspects of you.
concept= a representation of many individual aspects of one thing.

My parents just visited my family in Canada.
05:31pm 24/09/2008
  And this conversation took place:

My mom: "You guys should get a dog."
My uncle Theo: "Mum doesn't want a cat."
My Oma (Grandmother): "I don't want a cat, Theo!"
My aunt: "If we had a dog, mum would just tell it to get out of the kitchen all the time."
My Oma: "Ja. I don't want a cat."

I've been making soymilk with my new machine. It's been fun.

I discovered that plain home made soy milk is pretty nasty and is no good in my coffee. So, I made some adjustments and have created the most perfect non-dairy milk in the world. Here it is:
The regular amount of soybeans, soaked. When you put it in the filter cup, add about 2 tablespoons of dry oatmeal. Run the machine as usual. When it's finished, immediately strain the milk through a cheesecloth in a colander. Add about 1/8 cup of unbleached turbinado sugar and about 2 teaspoons of salt. Stir. I never thought that sugar was necessary in soy milk, but believe me when I say it is NO GOOD without it. The salt thickens it and you can't taste it at all. It doesn't separate in coffee, it doesn't taste sweet, and it's a whole lot cheaper than Silk and it's guaranteed vegan!
And here's a fun fact: the stuff left over in the cheesecloth can be rolled into a ball and dried in the sun. When it's dry, it bounces!

Today
10:23pm 06/08/2008
I received a rare sign of affection from my boss.
He gave me a gift as I was slicing away at swiss cheese, dairy particles clinging to my arm hair. He stormed in, made his way to the back of the shop and placed on the cutting board next to me a peach. "Here" he growled, and continued walking past me.
It was the most delicious piece of fruit I've ever eaten.

  Romans 14

1Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. 2One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 4Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

So... is this condemning vegetarianism while at the same time telling Christians to accept them?
